Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions won't hit iPhone and iPod touch for several more months, as Square Enix has delayed the game until spring 2011.Announcing the delay on the company's Facebook page, Square Enix apologises and explains the reason for pushing back the game's release date.
"Due to extra time needed for improving the UI and playability, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for iPhone that we originally set for release in 2010 is now scheduled for release in spring 2011."
The delay comes as little surprised after Square Enix missed a previously pledged September release, insisting that the game was set to come out before the end of 2010.
There's a silver lining to this cloud - while delays are always disappointing, the extra time should result in better controls and interface, which in turn will make the game easier to play.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions will be available for iPhone and iPod touch in spring 2011.
